Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
When you type a name or a date of birth into a search tool on this site, the entry goes straight to the outside provider that runs the search. That company processes the query and returns the results. We do not store or log the search terms you enter.
Messages and Contact Submissions
If you send us an email, we hold onto the message so we can write back. The message stays with our team. We will not pass it to anyone outside our organization unless a legal obligation requires it.
Data We Gather Automatically
Each time a page here loads, our servers record a few technical details about the visit:
- Timestamps for each page view
- The pages you opened and how long each one stayed on screen
- The IP address assigned to your device
- Which browser you used and its version
- Your device type and operating system
- The site that referred you here, if there was one
Cookies and Analytics
We use cookies, the small files stored on your device that show us how visitors move through the site, which pages draw the most traffic, and where readers tend to leave. Analytics services help us group that traffic into totals. You can block cookies in your browser settings whenever you like, though a few parts of the site may behave differently if you do.
What We Do With This Data
- Keeping the site online, running, and loading quickly
- Passing your search request to the right partner service
- Working out which pages readers find useful and which need rewriting
- Finding and fixing technical faults
- Serving ads that may match your interests
No Roscommon County Warrant Data on File
This site does not host, keep, compile, or sell any database of warrants or personal warrant records. We publish general guidance about where Roscommon County warrant records are held and how to check them, whether that means the 82nd District Court in Roscommon, the 34th Circuit Court clerk, or the Roscommon County Sheriff's Office. Michigan's Freedom of Information Act, MCL 15.231 et seq., governs records held by county public bodies, and MCR 8.119 governs access to the state's trial-court records. Neither rule applies to this site, because we are not a public body and not a court. We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and nothing we collect about visitors is turned into a consumer report or a file on any third party.
Third-Party Search Partners
Search boxes on this site are powered by outside companies. Whatever you type into one of those tools is processed under that partner's privacy policy, not this one. Those partners decide how long they keep data and who else sees it, and we have no control over those choices. Read the partner's policy before you submit a search.
Links to Other Websites
Across the site we link to court pages, sheriff's office pages, Michigan court rules, state statutes, and outside search tools. Following one of those links takes you off this site. From that point the privacy policy of the site you land on governs the visit, so read it before you share any personal details.
Some advertising partners may follow your activity from site to site to target ads. That tracking runs on their systems, not ours.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal data. A limited set of parties may see some of it:
- Analytics providers that measure traffic and performance
- Search partners that handle the queries you run here
- Ad networks that place advertising on our pages
- Government or law enforcement bodies when a valid legal order compels disclosure
How We Protect Your Data
We use standard security practices to protect the data we collect. No system connected to the internet is unbreakable, though. We do what we reasonably can to keep your information safe, and we cannot promise that a breach will never happen.
Users Under 18
This site is written for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has sent us data, contact us and we will remove it promptly.
Your Data Rights
Records held by a Michigan court or county office follow their own access rules: MCR 8.119 for trial-court records and the Michigan Freedom of Information Act, MCL 15.231 et seq., for county administrative records. Those requests do not come through us. For the data we hold ourselves, you can:
- Ask for a copy of what we have on file about you
- Have us fix information that is wrong
- Request that we erase your data
- Opt out of certain kinds of data processing
Updates to This Policy
We may revise this privacy policy later. When that happens, the new version appears on this page with a fresh effective date. Come back if you want to check how we handle your information.
